Easter Eggs Hunts

In North America it is usually celebrated a day that is called ‘’Easter egg day’’.  It’s a day when the children of that country have to go to the road while they are playing like a ‘’game’’: try to catch and find the most eggs in the road. These eggs have chocolate and some toys inside and you can win them finding the eggs.

This is traditional in North America for the Bunny because the youngest children think that the Bunny puts the eggs. It is like the kings in Spain, as the kids think that the Magic Kings bring their presents, but the real thing is that they don’t exist. Now I’m going to explain why the bunny is famous. There’s a legend that says that, when Jesus resurrected, there was a rabbit in the cave with him and he saw it so he wanted to explain it to all the people. He decided to paint the eggs with different colors and give them to people trying to say that. Another legend explains that when Jesus died, people couldn’t eat eggs along the year so that day was like especial and you can eat eggs them to break the tradition. Recently in Spain we celebrate the Mona that’s a especial day when the groomsman brings to his godson/goddaughter a cake with an egg or something like it to celebrate that day because it’s especial. Maybe the cake has some toys or something, one message or things like that pretending that the kid feels good and eats chocolate that day.

Eating Fruit and Vegetables

Do you know that we have to eat five pieces of vegetables and fruits every day? Do you eat them?
The real thing is that I don't do it but it's a good habit that I should have, and you too! For this reason I was searching two easy milkshakes, one made with fruits and another one with vegetables. If you prepare these milkshakes, it will be a different and maybe more comfortable way to eat fruits and vegetables.
Orange, strawberry and banana milkshake:
INGREDIENTS
A cup of strawberries (75 g)
1 banana
1 cup oat milk (250 ml)
1 orange juice
3 ice cubes
PREPARATION
Wash the strawberries and cut in half.
Peel the banana and cut into slices.
Blend all together with oat milk.
Squeeze the orange and add it to the ice.
Blend all very well and drink.

Spinach with kiwi and sesame milkshake
INGREDIENTS
50 gr. Fresh Spinach
1 kiwi ripe
1 teaspoon with ground sesame
 Mineral water
PREPARATION
Wash the spinach leaves and leave it in a sieve. Wash the kiwi by rubbing the surface and cut it into pieces.
Puts the spinach and kiwi leaves in the glass whisk. Irrigate with a half glass of mineral water and grind to a fine smoothie.

Papas Locas, a Recipe from the Canary Islands

Hi!

Last summer, a friend that I know since I was 11 years, came to Barcelona. He is from the Canary Islands, and he stayed in my home for 20 days.
When he came I couldn’t believe that he was here, because that it's almost impossible, but here he was!
We went to the beach lots of times, and we went to see the Camp Nou, because he likes the team. Then we went to the Sagrada Família too, and he visited a lot of places.
He taught us a recipe that it is typical in the Canary Islands (Papas locas).

These are the ingredients: 2 potatoes, sweet ham, cheese, ketchup and mayonnaise, sausages and bacon.
I hope you like it!!
