MONDAY 25th FEBRUARY

THE MARVEL UNIVERSE

The Marvel Universe began in 1961 when Martin Goodman responded to the growing interest in superhero books and demanded to writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby to create the Fantastic Four. With the release of this comic, readers were introduced to a super heroic setting situated in the real world, most of the times in New York.

To make the comic book characters more original, Lee and Kirby allowed their characters to interact, most of the time fighting or arguing with each other. This way, the adventures in one comic would have repercussions in another title, or the most important characters would make a cameo or guest appearances in another one.

This more realistic type of comic built up Marvel’s reputation. Stories also began to deal with social issues such as pollution, equality or drug abuse.

Some of the most famous characters in the Marvel universe are Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, the X-Men, Captain America or Daredevil.

New York, New York!!!!

Have you ever been in New York? Well, here you can find information about the most important attractions of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. To do this project we were divided in groups and we searched information about these places. Each group has searched the characteristics of that place, the history, and the ways to get there. Besides, we have also searched the movies that were filmed in those places, such as: Avengers, The Wolf of Wall Street, King Kong, Friends…
Our final product was a magazine, that you’ll find in this blog, with all the information. We have also recorded a video explaining the magazine information.
