If you are a Harry Potter's fan you have to read this book!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a book written by J. K. Rowling in 2001. It’s a fantasy book, belongs to Harry Potter universe and is one of the books that Harry has to study the first days in the school.

On the 18^th of November we could see the movie based on the book. In this story, J. K. Rowling is under the pseudonym of the fictitious author Newt Scamander. He is a magizoologist (the study of magical creatures) who was studding in Hogwarts and was a member to Hufflepuff. They wrote this book a long time ago and now she writes a new edition for wizards and muggles (not wizard people). But the book that we read is special because it has handwritten notes inside it by Harry Potter, Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger. The book is an introduction to magical creatures’ stories, for example, the differences between a beast and a magical being, Newt Scamander’s life… The rest is an encyclopaedia with 75 fantastic beasts that appeared in Harry Potter’s world or studied for Newt. The story took place 70 years before Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, in 1926, when Newt Scamander prepared a trip to research the beasts, but in New York, the creatures ran away from the room and Jacob (a muggle) made the things more difficult for Newt.

Teen Wolf

Let's talk about this film.

The film is about a student, Scott McCall, whose life changed when a werewolf bit him. He was walking in the woods looking for his father’s friend’s corpse. He escaped but the werewolf had already bitten him. Scott begins to become aware of some changes. When the moon is complete, he has a different appearance, for example he has sharp teeth, a different color in his eyes and more. He asks Styles for help. Her friend doesn’t believe his friend is a werewolf, but finally believes it.

Shawn Mendes

Today I want to explain a little about my idol Shawn Mendes.

Shawn is a Canadian singer-songwriter and he was born on 8th August, 1998. He started posting song covers in 2013 on YouTube and Vine.

A year later he was discovered by the manager Andrew Gertler and the boss of A&R of Island Records, Ziggy Chareton. He was there when Shawn recorded his first Album "Handwritten". It was a huge success in the United States like his simple "Stitches" that entered to the ten main positions of Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Canada.

The last album he has recorded is called "Illuminate". The most highlighted song of this last album is "Treat you better", which became their second top 10 track on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

He has been touring with various artists like Austin Mahone and Taylor Swift. Soon he will start his second own tour on  on March 18, 2017 starting by Manila, Philippines.

I'm really excited and waiting for the tour to starts because he's coming to Barcelona!

My life

I’m Alba, I was born on 20/02/2002, in Barcelona. I’m 14 years old. My mum’s name is Sonia, my father’s name is Antonio and my grandmother’s name is Pepa, she is always next to me. Pepa is a happy and lovely person. I started school when I was three years old in Sant Gabriel’s school. I used to like Music the most, but now I prefer Maths. Teachers in Primary and Secondary are different.. As you grow up, courses are more difficult, and you must study even more. I have a lot of friends, but few of them are my best friends. I like a lot to live in my city. I like going to the cinema and talking with my friends. I have different hobbies for example dancing and singing. And I also like watching TV and being with my family, but I love being with my friends. The food I like the most is pizza, but I don’t like fish. THIS IS MY LIFE, AND I’M HAPPY OF LIVING IT.

The Girl on the Train

“The girl on the train” is the last movie I have seen in the cinema. I haven’t read the book yet, but I think that in near future I will read it. So, here you have a short text talking about the plot and the main characters

PLOT:

Rachel is a divorced woman with drinking problems. Every day she takes a train to go to work, and the train passes near her old house. In that moment, her ex-husband lives with his new wife and his child in this house. Every day, Rachel sees a couple (Megan and Scott). She didn’t know who they are but she invented their names (Jess and Jason) and she imagined their lives.

One morning, she sees Megan (Jess for her) with another boy. The next day, she wakes up with a hangover, wounds and bruises. She doesn’t remember anything about the night before but she has the feeling that something bad happened. Then, she sees that Megan has disappeared on the news. Rachel tries to find what happened with Megan, and what she did the night that Megan disappeared.

MAIN CHARACTERS:

·         Rachel: is the main character of the story and is a woman with drinking problems.

·         Tom: ex-husband of Rachel, he divorced of her because of the drinking problems. Then he forms a new family with Anna

·         Megan: is the girl that Rachel calls as Jess, Megan's life is very different to the one Rachel imagines.

·         Scott: is Megan's couple, Rachel calls him as Jason. He is a man with many imperfections which difficult their romantic relationship.

·         Anna: is Tom’s new wife and has a little child. She is scared of Rachel because she doesn’t know what he can do to her family.

MY OPINION IS…

I really like this film because I know about the story although I never have read it. This film has suspense and mystery. In the beginning of the film, it was difficult to understand it because it has many jumps in time and different points of view but then, as the film goes on, is easier. I recommend this film because I think that is a film that looks for possible solutions to the main mystery. This film looks like the typical movies that are transmitted on TV at 4 pm at the weekends.

Extreme Sports

Extreme sports are all those activities that, because of special situations, such as danger and difficulty in doing them, are considered extreme. For example, climbing a rock that is 30 metres from the ground isn´t considered an extreme sport, on the contrary, if you do the same but from a two-hundred meters wall, then it’s already considered “rock vertical wall extreme”.

They have been seen as an alternative sport by the media and they interest those who like challenges and adventure. Some extreme sports are rafting, mountain biking and climbing.

A curious experience

Today I will explain to you one anecdote that happened to me.

I was in my old sister’s country house and I went upstairs because I wanted to pee. Then I asked for the keys to my sister and I went upstairs, when I opened the door I saw the cat on the terrace and I left the keys on the table. I went to the bathroom and I started to listen to a few steps, I looked back and I thought I saw a shadow. I was a little scared and I ran, forgetting my keys on the table. Unfortunately I could not think about any excuse and I had to say that I forgot them but, luckily, my brother-in-law had his, and that day I did not go back alone.

The Walking Dead

The

The Walking Dead is an American horror drama television show, developed by Frank Darabont based on the comics of Robert Kirkman.

The series have 6 season and the 7^th season started 23 de October 2016, and every week they emit a chapter. Probably, AMC Company will do another season.

The main characters are: 

The plot of the series: Rick got up from a coma and saw that nobody is in hospital, he went outside and saw there were people but they were like zombies. He ran to his home because his wife and son were there, but when he came to his home, his family wasn’t inside. Then, Rick started to think and he remembers that Lori’s parents lived in Atlanta, and maybe he could find them there. He found a horse to go to Atlanta more quickly but when he was almost there, he turned to the left and saw a large herd of walkers. He saw also a tank and he got into it. Rick listened to a person, Gleen, who was talking with a walkie-talkie to him. Gleen helped him to go outside the tank. Then, Rick said thank you a lot of times, and Gleen said that he had a group and asked Rick to go with them. He accepted because in his conditions, he supposed that he couldn’t find his family. But, when he arrived at the camp, he saw his family and he ran to hug them. And if you want to know more about the story, you should watch that series, I recommend it.

The Walking Dead was nominated for the Best New Series by the Writers Guild America Awards 2011 and the Best Television Series Drama by 68^th Olden Globe Awards.

The Walking Dead has the highest total viewership of any series in cable television history, including its third through sixth seasons, during which it averaged the most 18- to 49-year-old viewers of all cable or broadcast television shows. Total viewership for its season five premiere was 17.3 million, the most-watched series episode in cable history.

The Perfect Weekend

For me the perfect weekend would be going with all my friends to the house of my village, spending the whole weekend there with them.

We would make breakfast together, and we would spend all the day outside: walking around the village, taking photos, exploring the forest... At night, even though all of us would be scared, sure, we would go to explore the forest again but at night. When we arrived home, we would go to bed and we would spend all night gossiping about the things that had happened during the week or some anecdotes. We would wake up late, very late. The last day we would stay there, we would enjoy the most we could. After the weekend, we would return home to relax and calm down remembering those moments ... And again to school!

The Day of the Dead

I want to explain the history and the origins of the Day of the Dead. The day of the dead is a celebration in Mexico. This celebration does honour the ancestors that are dead.  The 2^nd November is the official day to celebrate the Day of the Dead, but people usually celebrate this day between the 1^st and 2^nd November.

On the Day of the Dead, the celebration has to be cheerful because the days of “Todos los Santos” and “Todas las Almas” (Spanish version) are nearby. For this reason, people don’t want to be scared by the evil ghost, so the day is very cheerful. This is a celebration similar to Halloween but with more respect for the dead people.

Now I will explain the origins of the Day of the Dead. The Day of the Dead began in the time of the indigenous, Aztecas, Mayas, Purepechas, Nahuas and Totoncas. In that time, people usually keep the skull of the person who has died. The skull was a trophy and it was shown in the rituals. They symbolized the death and the rebirth.

Now people don’t keep the skull of the person who has died. Normally, people buy a “false skull” made of pottery. When is the day of the dead, people leave the “false skull” in a tomb of the person who was died.

Neymar, a football player

He plays in the F.C. Barcelona team. He was born in Brazil and he is one of the best players in the world. Neymar is a hard competitor and he aspires to win all the seasons with his team. He had a difficult life before he came to Barcelona, because he had many problems with his former team. They didn’t want to let him go.

I hope he will be in the Barça team for many years!

Alycia Burton

I want to explain you some things about an incredible woman.

Alycia Burton is an expert with horses. She has an ability that others don’t have. Horses that have suffered from abuses arrive at her property. Horses have many problems, they need long hours and help for their rehabilitation. She uploaded a Facebook photo on her profile page and the fame started out by accident and surprise. Two million views on her videos and over three million on her YouTube channel. What began started out as playing around in the paddock, has won her international attention.

She was born in 1988 and lived in the north region of Doubtless Bay, on New Zealand’s East Coast. She started on a typical rural farm, with 3 older brothers and hard working parents. When she was 15 years old, she didn’t find one job available and in her small town she started her working career. She traveled to Auckland. After the hard work, and dedication, she has a contract to a long-term property of 20 acres in Karaka, to bed the head of horse racing and training in Auckland. Nowadays she is the owner of her property, and she helps horses that have been considered 'useless'. She is able to transform them into trained athletes, improving their career.

But of all the horses Alycia has one in particular that stands out and holds the key to her heart, Banjo. Alycia and this horse jump together, it is clear that they are in perfect sync with each other, knowing each other's moves and feel the next step. There is nothing more impressive than seeing a rider who loves his horse and a horse committed to complete its rider. That's the connection you see when you see them together.

Alycia’s is unique, she does not follow any method of training, she has learnt thanks to what she knows from her horses, and she is my idol.

A Science Fiction Story

Sherlock 3016

Suddenly, I woke up from that dream, it was so strange... By the way, I am Sherlock; I am an investigator in the C.I.A.

I had a very strange case. It was about a girl who had been killed. I was looking for evidences, but I didn’t find nothing. The only thing I could do was making questions to relatives or friends.

When I analysed her blood, I saw that it was not of this world. The girl was from, Cluto, a planet where death was all around. In this planet  there were all sorts of species of aliens, even those that came from films such as Star Wars. I talked with her parents, to explain them what had happened to her daughter, but they just told me, she was addicted to phones. At the same time, I discovered that she had an enemy in her planet. Then I deduced that the case was a cyber murder. All that I had to do was to arrest the offender. The offender lived in the Earth specifically in Europe, in my neighbourhood. Later on, I discovered that he was in my house. Quickly, the C.I.A I imprisoned me but I wasn’t the killer. In prison I could demonstrate my hypothesis with the help of a computer: It was not me, it was an alien that has abducted my body.
