Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bean Bryant, most known as "Kobe Bryant" or "Black Mamba". He was born in Philadelphia in 1978, and is Joe Bryant’s son. 

Kobe used to be a basketball player, but he retired 5 months ago. 

When Kobe was six years old, Joe started playing basketball in Europe, so the Bryant family moved to Italy. The family stayed there for seven years.

The Bryant family moved back to the United States when Kobe was 13 and he started playing in Philadelphia. He was drafted to the NBA by the Charlotte Hornets in the first round.

Bryant won five NBA championships and the 2008 MVP (Most Valuable Player) Award with the Los Angeles Lakers. 

He scored 81 points to the Toronto Raptors in January 2006, the second highest mark in NBA history. 

Kobe chose the number 24 because he said he is Jordan’s successor so he added a number. 

In the last game of his career, Kobe scored 60 points. 

For me Kobe is one of the best players in the history of the NBA.
