Eleanor and Park

Hi guys!

In this last post of 3th A, I’m going to talk about one of my favorites books, the tittle is Eleanor and Park. The story talks about a girl, she is ginger, very shy and with many freckles and she always gets dressed in a very special way. She lives in a house with her mother, her stepfather, her sister Maisie, and her brothers, Mouse and Richie. Eleanor has a hard life, her stepfather is a bad person and he provokes domestic abuse, child abuse. They are also very poor, and the worst is that Eleanor suffers from bullying.

Park has a Korean influence but he is American, he is sixteen years old. They meet on a school bus on Eleanor's first day at the school and they immediately connect through comic books,  and mix tapes of '80s music, sparking a love story.

I love this book because it’s not the typical love history, and the main characters are very physically very realistic, not like other books in which the girl and the boy are like models. I will recommend this book if you like the romance.
