Formule 1


The Formule 1 is the best cars championship in the world. It consists in one season of usually 20 grand prix; each grand prix consists in three: free practice, the classification and the race. The two free practices are on Friday and on Saturday. The classification is carried out on Saturday and it has three phases; in the first one there are many cars and the last five (Q1) are eliminated, in the second there are only fifteen cars and five (Q2) are eliminated. In the third and last phase, there are only ten cars and depending on the time they do, they situate to start the race.
20 cars participate in the race and depending on their time in the classification they will start the race. Races can’t last more than four hours. When the race is over the first receives 25 points, the second 18 points, the third 15p, the fourth 12p, the fifth 10p, the sixth 8p, the seventh 6p, the eighth 4p, the ninth 2p and the tenth 1p and the rest 0 points.
There are two championships: the driver’s championship and the constructor’s championship.
The team with more constructor’s championships is Ferrari with 16, and the driver with more championships is Michael Shumacher with 7 world championships.
In Spain the best driver is Fernando Alonso, he has 2 championships and he is the only Spanish driver who has won one race.
