What is evolution?

In the first class of the term we began by discussing what we already knew about evolution, next we made a vocabulary table including important vocabulary relevant to the topic. Then we watched an animated video in English describing and explaining the basic theory of evolution. We watched the video in groups and made notes about the most important aspects of the video. The students could use their notes to support them in the final activity. After the video the final activity was an interactive, multiple choice quiz on Kahoot! where each group used a smartphone or tablet to give their answer. To score the most points, you had to answer the question correctly and quicker than the other competitors.
