Today I’m going to talk about The Vampire Diaries.

The Vampire Diaries is an American supernatural drama television series created by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec.

The series is set in Mystic Falls, Virginia, a town with supernatural history since the 19th century.

It follows the life of Elena Gilbert, a teenage girl who has just lost her parents in a car accident. She falls in love with a 165 years old vampire named Stefan Salvatore. Their relationship becomes complicated when Stefan’s older brother Damon Salvatore returns with a plan to bring back their past love Katherine Pierce, a vampire who looks exactly like Elena.

Firstly, Damon is the villain and goes against his brother to force him to become a vampire, but later they reconcile and Damon falls in love with Elena.

As the series goes on, both brothers protect Elena as they face various vampire villains like Katherine and threats to their own town.

The brothers’ history is revealed through flashbacks while the series drama happens.

Operación Triunfo

“Operación Triunfo” better known as OT, is a Spanish television contest with the objective of finding new fingers. The directors of this program prepare castings all around Spain. At the end, they select 18 contestants who have to sing at the “Gala 0” because they only can be 16 and the jury has to select the 16 participants. This contest is very repetitive, every week they give a song to the contestants, and they have to prepare it for the “Gala”. They have different lessons throughout the day for example they do fitness, yoga, dance… but they also have singing lessons or interpretation lessons. The “galas” are broadcasted live on Mondays. There is an APP so you can vote for your favourite and you can save the nominated. You can also see the news of the day.

At the “galas” they sing and and at the end of the “gala” the presenter says who is the favourite and the favourite can’t be nominated. Also the judge has to nominate 4 contestants. The teachers have to save one of the nominates and the other contestants have to save another. At the end, there will be 2 nominates and throughout the week the public can save one through the APP or calling. The winner of that contest will win 100.00 euros and the possibility to go to Eurovision. But all the contestants will record CDs of OT.

Shawn Mendes

Shawn Peter Raul Mendes is an American singer who was born the 8 August 1998 in Pickering, Canada.

He began to gain popularity in the 2013, when he began to publish covers songs in Vine interpreted by him. The following year, he caught the attention of A&R of Island Records that led him to fame.

On June 26 of 2014 he published his first song, "Life of the Party" that after 24 hours, reached the 100,000 units sold. On April 14 of 2015, Shawn published his first album Handwritten, which sold more than 370 000 units in the United States.

He appeared as one of the twenty-five most influential teenagers of 2014 and 2015 in Time Magazine.

In 2016, he made his first appearance in the "30 Under 30” like the most successful young musician.

In 2016, Shawn published "Treat You Better”, the simple of his second album became his second theme between the top ten on the list Billboard Hot 100.

Nowadays, he is performing the last album Tours around the world.

In conclusion, Shawn is a young singer who has got a lot in a short time and all his fans, me too, hope more of him.

Instagram

Instagram is a social network created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger in 2010. It is used to share images and videos and to talk with friends, with family, etc. The application allows users to take pictures, apply filters and frames if you want, and finally show them to their friends or followers. It also allows to send it to other applications like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Instagram was originally designed for iPhone, iPad and iPod with a download from the APP Store and from its website. At the beginning of April 2012, a version was published for Android and, currently, is also download from Google Play. Since its creation, Instagram has been very popular. In November 2011, it had 12 million followers and, currently, the application has more than 100 million of active users, and it has become one of the most used apps (between the 10 most used).

The insta stories is a new option that Instagram has incorporated relatively recently and has become a great and famous success. They allow you to upload pictures or videos for 24 hours. In addition, it also presents the possibility of being able to write about the videos or photographs you made, to add emoticons or to make drawings, always facilitating the user the task. Users can carry out informal publications that will last only 24 hours and focus on presenting the rest of their followers what they are doing.

I think that Instagram is a good network to talk and inform you about the things that happen. But all with good use because it can end up being addictive and even a way to have fights. But I think it is a very good way to expose, in a careful way, your life to the world.

Breaking news!!!! A cold wave in Barcelona!!!

Travelling

In my opinion travelling is the only thing in which you spend money and at the same time you get richer. Why? Because when you travel around the world, you spend money to buy the plane tickets, the hotel... But as you visit other countries and learn new cultures, ways of life..., you enrich yourself.

When you travel, you know what happens in the world, because you see with your eyes and not through the news. Also, after visiting many countries and learning many cultures, you open your mind and you can give your opinion about your favourite way of life, so you can visit this place more times. Sometimes travelling is cheap, because have an offer o also you can save money for a time. Depending on the place that you go, it is easier and faster to go, for example going around Europe is easier and faster that going to New Zealand. In conclusion, traveling is amazing and it is the best way to meet yourself.

Eating Fruit and Vegetables

Do you know that we have to eat five pieces of vegetables and fruits every day? Do you eat them?

The real thing is that I don't do it but it's a good habit that I should have, and you too! For this reason I was searching two easy milkshakes, one made with fruits and another one with vegetables. If you prepare these milkshakes, it will be a different and maybe more comfortable way to eat fruits and vegetables.

Orange, strawberry and banana milkshake:

INGREDIENTS

A cup of strawberries (75 g) 

1 banana 

1 cup oat milk (250 ml)

1 orange juice

3 ice cubes

PREPARATION 

Wash the strawberries and cut in half.

Peel the banana and cut into slices. 

Blend all together with oat milk.

Squeeze the orange and add it to the ice. 

Blend all very well and drink.

Spinach with kiwi and sesame milkshake

INGREDIENTS

50 gr. Fresh Spinach 

1 kiwi ripe 

1 teaspoon with ground sesame 

 Mineral water

PREPARATION 

Wash the spinach leaves and leave it in a sieve. Wash the kiwi by rubbing the surface and cut it into pieces. 

Puts the spinach and kiwi leaves in the glass whisk. Irrigate with a half glass of mineral water and grind to a fine smoothie.

Julian Savea, a Rugby Player

Julian Savea was born in Wellington in 1990 on August 7. He is a rugby player who plays as a wing". He plays for the All Blacks.

In April 2013 he was arrested for domestic violence, from that moment he campaigned against violence.In 2008 he was accepted into the secondary school team. 

Savea was rewarded for his excellent form in the youth championship in 2010. He made his first class debut in July 2010.

Green Day

Today I want to talk about a music band that I like. Their name is Green Day.

Green Day is an American band of pop punk and punk rock.

The group is formed by Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool.

Billie Joe is the guitarist and singer, Mike Dirnt is the bass player and the choir singer and Tré Cool is the drummer and the choir singer.

They started in 1986 and they still continue.

They have released many albums but the most famous ones are these: Dookie (1994), Nimrod (1997), Revolution radio (2016), Insomniac (1995), American idiot (2004), Kerplunk (1991), Warning (2000) and ¡Uno,Dos, Tré! (2012)

My opinion:

I love this group and their music.

My favourite song is "Boulevard of broken dreams"
